NOW <br />DOI? <br />Hometown Athlete Sydney <br />Peterson wins 3 gold medals <br />and a silver medal at 2026 <br />Winter Games <br />Lake Elmo's own Sydney Petersen brought <br />home three gold medals in Paralympic <br />Nordic skiing this year, winning the Women's <br />10K, 20K, and 2.5K mixed relay, along with a <br />silver in the sprint. <br />A Stillwater Area High School graduate, <br />Sydney has overcome significant health <br />challenges, including primary dystonia and <br />brain surgery in 2023, to continue competing <br />at an elite level. <br />After earning three medals at the 2022 <br />Paralympic Games and two more at the <br />2025 World Championships, her <br />perseverance and success continue to <br />inspire us all. <br />Congratulations, Sydney!
