The attached job <br />description was created to outline the duties and responsibilities of the position. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should the Council approve the Fire Captain job description? <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />In order to move forward with the recruitment of the Captain positions, a complete job description needs to be <br />approved by council. Once approved, the plan is to post the position no later than April 10thand to have the <br />recruitment process finished and applicant approvals brought to council at the June 2nd meeting with a <br />projected hire date of June 30th. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The positions are included in the 2026 budget. <br />OPTIONS: <br />Approve the Fire Captain job description as presented. <br />Approve the Fire Captain job description with changes. <br />Deny the approval of the Fire Captain job description. <br />RECOMMENDATION: (if pulled from Consent) <br />“Motion to approve the Fire Captain job description.”
