These include the potential sale <br />and redevelopment of the former 3M property and the former fire station and parks building sites, <br />which offer opportunities to reinvest in underused properties and strengthen the local tax base. <br />The City continues to manage ongoing litigation related to its water appropriation permit, as the <br />outcome will affect long-term planning and water supply. Securing property for a future water <br />treatment plant is also an important step to ensure reliable service as the community grows. In <br />addition, staff will continue working with private developers on projects as they come forward, <br />balancing growth with infrastructure capacity and the character of the community. <br />Future Challenges and Opportunities
