Options and Recommendation <br />Short – Medium Term <br />•Amend the 2040 Comprehensive Plan to update the City’s forecast for the years 2030 and 2040. This <br />forecast is expected to carry forward into the Comprehensive Plan. <br />•Include an alternative growth scenario for 2050 in the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Update, this <br />would generally include the following: <br />•Added language/analysis in the Demographics chapter <br />•Additional callouts or tables for Land Use analysis in the Land Use Chapter <br />•Additional callouts or tables included in the Water Resources Chapter <br />Me d ium -Long Term <br />•Work proa ctively with the Met Council to identify opportunities to become aligned on re a listic forecasts. <br />•Revisit policy position on forecast adjustments in Summer 2027 as WBL working group concludes <br />•Revisit forecast through 2050 in subsequent Comprehensive Plan amendments (only if needed)
