P a g e 3 | 4 <br />ITEM 3: Authorize Design Services for the Section 16 – Phase 2 Sanitary Sewer Extension <br />City Engineer Stanley presented the scope of the proposed improvements and project schedule. <br />Discussion held regarding coordination with the railroad for construction under the tracks. <br />Councilmember Holtz, seconded by Councilmember Hirn, moved TO AUTHORIZE <br />PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR DESIGN PHASE ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />TO BE PROVIDED BY BOLTON AND MENK, INC. IN THE NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $46,100 <br />Motion passed 5 – 0. <br />ITEM 4: 2050 Comprehensive Plan Contract with Bolton and Menk <br />Community Development Director Stopa provided a brief introduction, noting that two <br />proposals have been received for preparation of the 2050 Comprehensive Plan. <br />Jenni Faulkner presented the proposed services Bolton and Menk would provide to prepare the <br />2050 Comprehensive Plan and reviewed the process. Discussion was held regarding council and <br />community involvement in development of the plan. <br />Councilmember Hirn, seconded by Councilmember Holtz, moved TO ACCEPT THE PROPOSAL <br />AND SIGN A CONTRACT WITH BOLTON AND MENK FOR THE 2050 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN. <br />Motion passed 5 – 0. <br />ITEM 5: Annual Report <br />City Administrator Miller introduced the city’s first Annual Report. Department heads <br />presented information in the report for each department. Councilmembers commended staff <br />for their work on the report. <br />ITEM 6: Agenda Procedures <br />City Administrator Miller reviewed the current agenda preparation process and deadlines. <br />Discussion was held regarding the timeline for adding items to the agenda and options for <br />Councilmembers to add items. No action was taken. <br />ITEM 7: 250th Anniversary of the USA Celebration Discussion <br />Discussion held regarding possibilities to highlight the 250th anniversary of the United States in <br />conjunction with the 4th of July Parade or as a stand alone event. Administrator Miller stated <br />she would look into obtaining flags for the light posts in the Old Village and councilmembers <br />volunteered to contact food trucks and other amenities for the event.
