Preliminary discussions focused on creating a community-centric event that includes food, drink, and <br />entertainment. Through these discussions, September 12, 2026, was identified as the preferred date to maximize <br />community attendance and utilize favorable seasonal weather. <br />ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: <br />Should the City Council formally approve the date, scope, and budgetary framework for the 2026 Fall City Celebration? <br />PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: <br />The proposed framework for the celebration is designed to activate public space and encourage resident engagement: <br />Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026. <br />Proposed Hours: ? <br />Entertainment: Engagement of a live musical performance (band). <br />Concessions: Coordination with local food vendors and a designated beer vendor. <br />Family Activities: Inclusion of "bouncy house" inflatables and youth-oriented programming. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />Council recommends a total project budget not to exceed $?. This budget will cover artist fees, equipment rentals, <br />staffing, and administrative costs.
