Stormwater Management Plan
Inwood Commercial
Carlson Engineering, Inc. Page 5 of 6
1.8 Other Considerations

Sump catch basin manholes will be installed at the most downstream structure of the pipe
network to prevent suspended solids from being discharged to the existing pond. Riprap will be
used at the outlet to the existing pond to provide energy dissipation. When additional storm
sewer is tied into an existing storm sewer network, sumps were previously installed along with
riprap at the outlet to the existing pond.

1.9 Conclusion

The proposed development will result in less impervious surface and less runoff rate and volume
from the site than what was originally planned for under the Inwood Development stormwater
management system. All storm sewers have been designed to accommodate a 10-year storm at a
minimum. Sump catch basins will be utilized to prevent sediment from being conveyed
downstream.
