An RRFB will only be considered when all the following conditions are met unless immediately adjacent from a school:1.The crossing meets all applicable Crosswalk Policy criteria2.An RRFB is appropriate based on the STEP Chart and after consideration of other supplemental geometric improvements3.The crossing is located at a minimum of 1,000 feet from an existing RRFB4.The crossing demonstrates a minimum of 20 pedestrian/bicycle crossings within a peak hour <br />If criterion aren’t met, RRFBs shall not be installed, and alternative improvements may be considered. <br />RRFB Evaluation Process
