RESOLUTION NO. 91-14 <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE WETLANDS PROTECTION BILLS <br />BEING CONSIDERED BY THE MINNESOTA. STATE LEGISLATURE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has historicallv considered. <br />protection of wetlands within its borders as being of hinh priority; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo has Ordinance No. 306, entitled <br />"Wetland. Protection and Preservation Overlay District ", which has as <br />its intent the protection of all wetlands within the City; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo favors the similar protection of <br />all wetlands within the State of Minnesota; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State legislature is currently considering <br />:�0. and Senate File #3' <br />sx',1L� e <br />.T�a; t= -XS. the above- nentionet� bills contain. a single geoctra.p"hical <br />exclusion for the entire State, said exclusion beina known as the <br />"Brockman property" located. on the east side of 1-664, south of 10th <br />Street in Washington County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED, <br />1. That the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo strongly objects to <br />the exclusion of any lands fron the provi.-Iio•1- of w/., l;1 nr1. protection <br />legislation, and in particular strop -;I.y o,7 -jects to thr; exclusion of <br />the "Brochzna.r., <br />2. That t7l City of Lake Elmo requests that Senator Laidig and <br />Representative McPherson, as the legislators representing Lake Elmo, <br />support the removal of the above- nentioneO exclusion from the wetlands <br />_E�rotection legislation now pending_ before this respective legislative <br />bodies; <br />3.
