CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-60 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF JAMACA AVENUE <br />BETWEEN TH5 AND LAKE JANE TRAIL, AND LAKE jANE TRAIL BETWEEN <br />JAMACA AVENUE AND JANE ROAD <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bid for the improvement of Jamaca <br />Avenue between TH5 and Lake Jane Trail, and Lake Jane Trail between Jamaca <br />Avenue and Jane Road, by reconstruction, bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the <br />advertisement: <br />Name of Bidder: <br />Tower Asphalt, Inc. <br />T.A. Schifsky & Sons <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />Valley Paving, Inc, <br />Shafer Contracting <br />Carl Bolander & Sons <br />Amount of Bid: <br />$ 732,985.00 <br />$ 742,684.35 <br />$ 772,983.28 <br />$ 781,192.24 <br />$ 799,559.90 <br />$1,029,122.00 <br />and, WHEREAS, it appears that Tower Asphalt, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE <br />FLMO, MN- <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk, upon approval of Mn/DOT of the bid, are hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into the attached contract with Tower Asphalt, Inc. in the name of <br />the City of Lake Elmo for the improvement of Jamaca Avenue between TH5 and Lake <br />Jane Trail, and Lake Jane Trail between Jamaca Avenue and Jane Road, according to <br />the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk, <br />2.
