CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-62 <br />A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR 1993 PATCH AND OVERLAY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bid for the improvement of Hidden <br />Bay, 37th Street, Kraft Circle, Langley Court, Legion Avenue, Laverne Avenue, <br />Highlands Trail, Highlands Court, and 20th Street Court, by overlay, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received <br />complying with the advertisement: <br />Name of Bidder: Amount of Bid.- <br />Bituminous Consulting and Contracting <br />$182,662.50 <br />Tower Asphalt <br />192,378.75 <br />Aero Asphalt <br />192,965.50 <br />Valley Paving <br />195,176.20 <br />Alber Construction <br />196,079.00 <br />T.A. Schifsky <br />203,082.50 <br />Midwest Asphalt <br />226,513.35 <br />Ashbach Construction <br />227,243.50 <br />WHEREAS, upon review by the City Engineer it is determined that Bituminous <br />Consulting and Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Lake Elmo City Council that <br />the 1993 Patch and Overlay Contract be awarded to Bituminous Consulting and <br />Contracting in the amount of $182,662.50. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: The City Clerk is hereby authorized and <br />directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that <br />the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until <br />a contract has been signed. <br />ADOPTED, by the City Council this 17th day of August, 1993. <br />"13 1 G N E D: <br />ATTEST: <br />Mary Kueffh(er, 6jityA/�f niinistrator <br />, <br />
