City of Lake Elmo Washington County, Minnesota Resolution 2000 - 035 A Resolution Ordering .improvement and. .A.dvertAse.=n-t-for -Bids WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 18`h day of July, 2000 fixed a date for a council hearing on the proposed improvement of: 50th Street, from State Highway 5 to County Road 17 (Lake Elmo .Avenue) As petitioned by 35% or more of affected property owners WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the I5`h day of August, 2000, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA: 1. Such improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible as detailed in the feasibility report. 2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted July 18, 2000. 3. Plans and specifications prepared by Tom Prer, of TKDA, engineer for such improvement pursuant to council resolution, a copy of which plans are on file with the City Administrator. 4. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, and advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such improved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 2 weeks, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will e opened and considered by the Council at P.M. on , 2000, in the council chambers of the city hall, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the Administrator for 5 (five) percent of the amount of each bid.
