City of Lake Elmo <br />Washington County, Minnesota <br />Resolution 2000 - 035 <br />A Resolution Ordering .improvement and. .A.dvertAse.=n-t-for -Bids <br />WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council adopted the 18`h day of July, 2000 <br />fixed a date for a council hearing on the proposed improvement of: <br />50th Street, from State Highway 5 to <br />County Road 17 (Lake Elmo .Avenue) <br />As petitioned by 35% or more of affected property owners <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the <br />hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the I5`h day of August, 2000, at <br />which all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA: <br />1. Such improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible as detailed in the <br />feasibility report. <br />2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution <br />adopted July 18, 2000. <br />3. Plans and specifications prepared by Tom Prer, of TKDA, engineer for <br />such improvement pursuant to council resolution, a copy of which plans are <br />on file with the City Administrator. <br />4. The City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official <br />paper and in the Construction Bulletin, and advertisement for bids upon the <br />making of such improvement under such improved plans and specifications. <br />The advertisement shall be published for 2 weeks, shall specify the work to <br />be done, shall state that bids will e opened and considered by the Council at <br />P.M. on , 2000, in the council chambers of the city hall, <br />and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid <br />bond, or certified check payable to the Administrator for 5 (five) percent of <br />the amount of each bid. <br />Adopted by the Council this 15th day of August 2000. <br />Lee Hunt, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Mary uef`f, r, City'Administrator <br />
