CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003 -048 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION OF PLANS <br />FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF HILL TRAIL NORTH AND 50"Il STREET NORTH <br />WHEREAS, a resolution of the city council adopted the 201h of May, 2003, fixed <br />a date for a council hearing on the proposed improvement of Hill Trail North and 50`h <br />Street North; and <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the <br />hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon the 3rd day of June, 2003, at which <br />all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY <br />COUNCIL: <br />1. Such improvement is necessary, cost - effective, and feasible as detailed in the <br />feasibility report. <br />2. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution <br />adopted the 3rd of June, 2003. <br />Tom Prew, TKDA & Associates, is hereby designated as the engineer for this <br />improvement. The engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the <br />making of such improvement. <br />4. The city council declares its official intent to reimburse itself for the costs of <br />the improvement. <br />5. Tom Prew, TKDA & Associates, is hereby directed to investigate construction <br />of rain water gardens instead of holding ponds; work with Washington County <br />on water surface runoff at the intersection of 501h Street and Hill Trail; and, <br />schedule the overall timing of the second course of asphalt for 2004. <br />ADOPTED by the LakElmo City Council thi rdy of June, 2003 <br />I.,ee Hunt, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Charles E.
