CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />S=GT*14 C*UVTY—UL1,VV 1. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 075 <br />1. WHEREAS, on June 1, 2004, the Lake Elmo City Council adopted Resolution No. <br />2004-073 establishing three (3) City Council Committees; <br />2. WHEREAS, Resolution 2061 -074 required the City Council to further define the <br />duties of the Council Committees. <br />3. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Lake Elmo City Council adopts the <br />following procedures and regulations relating to the City Council Committees: <br />A. Number of Committees. There shall be three Council Committees: the <br />Public Health and Safety Committee; the Public Works Committee; and the <br />Finance, Legal, Legislative and Personnel Committee. <br />B. Composition of Committees. Each Council Committee shall be comprised <br />of two (2) council members appointed by the City Council; the Mayor; and <br />the City Administrator. The Mayor and City Administrator shall be ex- <br />official members of the Council Committees. In the absence of an <br />appointed council member, any other council member may, for a particular <br />meeting, replace an absent council member. <br />C. Chairperson. The Mayor shall appoint the chairperson for each of the <br />Council Committees, <br />D. Meetincis. Council Committees shall schedule meetings for the second <br />Tuesday of each month and the Council Committee meetings shall be held <br />in the following general order: <br />3. Finance, Legal, Legislative and Personnel — 7: 10 p.1 <br />E. Public Health and Safety Committee. The Public Health and Safety <br />Committee shall consider and make recommendations relating to the fire <br />department; the sheriff's department; animal control; environmental/special <br />projects; and community improvement projects. <br />
