CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 — 096 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CERTIFICATION OF <br />ASSESSMENTS TO WASHINGTON COUNTY AUDITOR FOR <br />2004 OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Municipal Code for the City of Lake Elmo contains a provision. <br />to certify Street Reconstruction. Assessments to the County Auditor for collection with <br />taxes payable. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO, MINNESOTA, THAT: <br />1. The list of properties to be assessed, a copy of which is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit A, and made a part hereof, is hereby accepted and shall be certified to the <br />Washington County Auditor for collection with taxes payable. <br />2. The certified amount shall be payable over a period of Five (5) years, in equal <br />annual installments with interest as provided in Exhibit A. <br />3. The owner of the property may, at any time pay to the City of Lake Elmo the <br />entire unpaid amount of the assessment with interest accrued to December 31 <br />of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made <br />before November 15 or interest will be charges through December 31 of the <br />succeeding year. <br />4. The City Administrator shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of Exhibit <br />A to the County Auditor to be extended on the property tax lists of Washington <br />County. Such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same <br />manner as other municipal taxes. <br />ADOPTED, but the Lake Elmo City Council on the 3rd day of November, 2004. <br />Lee Hunt, Mayor <br />A 'r T TTc1rr. <br />
