CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -113 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR THE PUMPER/TANKER TO <br />GENERAL SAFETY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for a pumper /tanker for the Fire <br />Department, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement. <br />Contractor <br />Base Bid <br />Alternate I <br />Alternate 2 <br />Total Bid <br />General Safety <br />$424,810 <br />$780 <br />$1100 <br />$426,690 <br />Toyne <br />$423,954 <br />$650 <br />$2700 <br />$427,304 <br />Ferrara <br />$464,644 <br />$500 <br />$2775 <br />$467,919 <br />AND WHEREAS, General Safety, Co. is the lowest responsible bidder <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE <br />ELMO, MINNESOTA: <br />The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with General Safety, for their base bid of $424,810, Alternate 1 of $780 and <br />Alternate 2 of $1100 for a total bid of $426,690, in the name of the City of Lake <br />Elmo for a pumper /tanker according to the plans and specifications therefore <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the city clerk. <br />2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposit made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and the next lowest bidder shall retained until a contract has been signed.. <br />ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 18th day of October, 2005. <br />Dean Johnston, Mayor — <br />
