CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESO'T'A <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005 -099 <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR THE <br />PUBLIC WORKS ILS FACILI`T'Y <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Public Works Facility, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with <br />the advertisement: <br />Contractor <br />Ebert Construction <br />Gen -Con Construction <br />Lund - Martin Construction Co <br />Merrimac Construction Co. <br />Architect's Estimate <br />Base Bid <br />$2,379,000 <br />$2,299,000 <br />$2,699,000 <br />$3,212,760 <br />Approx. $2,000,000 <br />AND WHEREAS, Gen -Con Construction is the lowest responsible bidder with a base bid of <br />$2,299,000 and including Alternates 41, 42, #5A, #5B, #10, and #12 for a total contract sum of <br />$2,371,400.00. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LAKE ELMO, <br />MINNESOTA: <br />1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Gen -Con <br />Construction in the name of the City of Lake Elmo for the Public Works Facility, according to <br />the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of <br />the city clerk. <br />2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits <br />made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest <br />bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />.ADOPTED, by the Lake Elmo City Council this 20th day of September, 2005. <br />bean fhnston, Mayor <br />Marini Rafferty, Cit A.dmi i at�r <br />
