Resolution No. 2009 -027 <br />Resolution to accept the grant award for the construction of an information kiosk <br />from i of 1 <br />Recreational 1 g and the Cross-Country <br />Improvement Grant-in-Aid Programs. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo supports application made to the Minnesota <br />Department of Natural Resources for the Federal Recreational Trail Grant Program and the <br />Cross- Country Ski Capital Improvement Grant -in -Aid programs. The City of Lake Elmo will act <br />as legal sponsor for the application made to the Department of Natural Resources for the <br />reimbursement grant. The project is to construct an informational kiosk at Sunfish Lake Park, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo recognizes the fifty (50) percent match requirement <br />for the Federal Recreational Trail grant program is the Cross - Country Ski Capital Improvement <br />Grant -in -Aid program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Lake Elmo agrees to accept the <br />grant award from the aforementioned two funding programs, and may enter into an agreement <br />with the State of Minnesota for the above referenced project. The City of Lake Elmo will comply <br />with all applicable laws, environmental requirements as stated in the grant agreement, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo names the <br />fiscal agent for the City of Lake Elmo for this project as: <br />Tom Bouthilet <br />Finance Director <br />City of Lake Elmo <br />3 800 Laverne Ave. N. <br />Lake Elmo, MN 55042 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Lake Elmo hereby assures the Sunfish Lake <br />Park ski trails will be maintained for a period of no less than 20 years by the City of Lake Elmo, <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELMO, THIS <br />16`}' DAY OF JUNE, 2009. <br />Dean Johnston, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Sharon Lumby, City Clerk <br />
