B. Compliance: No new structure or land shall hereafter be usedandnostructureshallbelocated, extended, converted, or <br />structurally altered without full compliance with the terms of the <br />Floodplain Regulation and other applicable regulations which applytouseswithinthejurisdictionoftheFloodplainRegulation. In <br />addition, a caution is provided here that: <br />1. Modifications, additions, structural alterations or <br />repair after damage to existing nonconforming structures <br />and nonconforming uses of structures or land are regulated <br />by the general provisions of the Floodplain Regulation and <br />specifically Section 303.100; and <br />2. As -built elevations for elevated or flood -proofed <br />structures must be certified by a registered professional <br />engineer or architect as specified in the general provisions <br />of the Floodplain Regulation and specifically as stated in <br />Section 303.070. <br />SECTION 303.050 FLOODPLAIN DISTRICT <br />A. Permitted Uses: The following uses have a low flood damage <br />potential and do not obstruct flood flows. These uses shall be <br />permitted to the extent that they are not prohibited by any other <br />ordinance and provided they do not require structures, fill, or <br />storage of materials or equipment. In addition, no use shall <br />adversely affect the capacity of the channels or floodways or anytributarytothemainstreamorofanydrainageditch, or any otherdrainagefacilityorsystem. <br />1. Agricultural uses such as general farming, pasture, <br />grazing, outdoor plant nurseries, horticulture, truck <br />farming, forestry, sod farming and wild crop harvesting. <br />2. Private and public recreational uses such as golf courses, <br />tennis courts, golf driving ranges, archery ranges, picnic <br />grounds, boat launching ramps, swimming area, parks, wildlife <br />and nature preserves hunting and fishing area, and single or <br />multiple purpose recreational trails. <br />3. Residential uses such as lawns, gardens, parking area, and <br />play areas. <br />B. standards for Floodplain Permitted Uses: <br />1. The use shall have a low flood damage <br />susceptibility. <br />2. The use shall be permissible in the underlying zoningdistrict. <br />3. The use shall not obstruct flood flows or increase flood <br />r elevations and shall not involve structures, fill, <br />obstructions, excavations or storage of materials or <br />equipment. <br />5
