PRINTERS AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />COUNTY OF WASHINGTON <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE 8065 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 1005RELATINGTOTHEREGULATIONOF <br />BICYCLING TO THE LAKE ELMO <br />MUNICIPAL CODE <br />The City Council ordains that Chapter 1005anditssubsectionsshallbeaddedtotheLake <br />Elmo Municipal Code to read as follows: <br />SECTION 1005. BICYCLING. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to: <br />A. Operate a bicycle, except on designatedbiketrailsandroadwaysandexceptasclosetotherighthandsideofbiketrailorroadwayascond'Rions <br />permit; <br />B. Operate a mountain bike or similar cycleexceptonbiketrailsandroadwaysaspermittedin <br />section 1005; C. Operate a bicycle in violation of MinnesotaStatutes, Chapter 169, "HighwayTraffic Violation"; D. Ride or operate a bicycle except in aprudentandcarefulmannerandatspeedsfasterthanisreasonableandsafewithregardtothesafetyoftheoperatorandotherpersonsinthe <br />immediate area. Effective Date: This ordinance shall be <br />effective the day following its publication.
