Resolution No. 2013-53 <br />ASSESSMENT WORKSHEET , E A ',. `. AND NEED FOR <br />AN <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is a municipal corporation organized and existing <br />under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, under Minnesota Rules Part 4410.1100 Supp d. (EAW Decision) the City <br />of Lake Elmo ordered the preparation of an EAW for the Savona residential subdivision. <br />WHERE AS, on April 3, 2013, an EAW was completed for the Savona Project, which is <br />designed to include 190 single-family lots, and 122 multi -family lots; and <br />WHEREAS, beginning on April 22, 2013, copies of the EAW were distributed to all <br />persons and agencies on the official Environmental Quality Board (EQB) mailing list and other <br />interested parties; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 29, 2013, the EAW was publicly noticed in the EQB Monitor, <br />commencing the 30 -day public comment period; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 22,103, a press release was submitted for publication in the <br />Oakdale/Lake Elmo Review newspaper to announce the completion of the EAW, its availability <br />to interested parties, and the process for submitting comments on the EAW, and <br />WHEREAS, the 30 -day comment period ended on May 29, 2013 at 4:30 p.m., and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo accepted and responded to all written comments <br />received. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, based on the testimony elicited and information received, the <br />City Council makes the following: <br />1) The EAW was prepared, published, and distributed in compliance with the procedures of <br />the Minnesota. Environmental Policy Act and Minnesota Rules, Parts 4410.1000 to <br />4410.1700 (1997). <br />Resolution No. 2013-53 <br />
