CITY OF #; <br />�. #, 'J <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013-74 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING 2014 STATE OF MINNESOTA BONDING REQUES 1 <br />FOR STATE APPROPRIATIONS FOR SUPPLY OF SAFE POTABLE WATER TO <br />MANDATED GROWTH AREAS WITH UNDERLYING GROUNDWATER <br />CONTAMINATION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo needs a new water booster station and trunk <br />watermain lines along Inwood Avenue and Lake Elmo Avenue to serve southern Lake Elmo; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lake Ehno has hired lobbying representation from Messerli & <br />Kramer to help facilitate discussion and foster support at the State Legislature; <br />WHEREAS, the City has submitted an amended application to Minnesota Management <br />and Budget for this request; <br />WHEREAS, the requested state bonding amount is for $4 million. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council supports the <br />Application for State Bonding Funds for the project to supply safe potable water to mandated <br />growth areas with underlying groundwater contamination, <br />ADOPTED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER, 2013. <br />Mike Pearson <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />2. <br />Adam Bell <br />City Clerk <br />Resolution No. 201.374 <br />
