CITY OF IJAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />S'TA'KE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 1;2014-62 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE AMENDED FEASIBLITY REPORT AND ORDERING <br />THE IMPROVEMENT • THE VILLAGE EAST TRUNK SANITARY SEWER <br />SOUTHI-MPROVEMENTS: TRUNK HIGHWAY 5 TO <br />WHEREAS, pursuant a resolution of the city council adopted the 17`' day of June, 2014, the council <br />accepted a feasibility report and ordered a hearing on Improvement for the Village Fast Trunk Sanitary Sewer <br />Improvements; TH 5 to south of UP Railroad; and <br />WHEREAS, the feasibility report and preliminary assessment roll was amended and dated July 21, 2014 to <br />reflect increased project costs following contractor bids and a stakeholder meeting was held to present the amended <br />preliminary assessment rolls; and <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks published notice of the hearing was given, and the <br />hearing was held thereon on the 191" day of August, 2014, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given the <br />opportunity to be heard thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the amended feasibility report prepared by FOCUS Engineering, Inc., and dated July 21, <br />2014 provides information regarding whether the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; <br />whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the <br />improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for <br />affected parcels. <br />I. 'That the City Council accepts the amended Feasibility Report dated July 21, 2014 and will consider the <br />improvements in accordance with the report and the assessments of the abutting properties for all or a <br />portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429 at an estimated total <br />project cost of $412,000 for the sanitary sewer improvements. <br />2. Such improvement is deemed necessary, cost-effective, and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility Report <br />dated July 21, 2014. <br />3. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the council resolution adopted this 19`h day of August, <br />2014. <br />4. Assessments shall be levied to the benefiting properties identified in the Report for Sanitary Sewer <br />Improvements as presented in the Report. <br />5.
