DZ reminded the body that after the MOU is eliminated, the city will simply have to plan against the <br />forecast. Smith noted that for the comp plan, the city will still need to factor in the number of households <br />and how the land will be used. <br />Discussion of RAD-ALT. discussion of 2.75 versus 2.55. <br />b. Allowance of New Community Septic Systems – Dean Zuleger DZ explained the status of the engineered wetland treatment systems. Discussion of issues and potential <br />solutions. Smith noted that the real problems are with the smaller neighborhoods. Larger neighborhoods <br />can more easily address any issues due to <br />c. Downtown Development – Nick Johnson Nick went over the keys to success. Development of TIF by EDA, UM Ext Svc market study, and LE Ave <br />corridor mgmt and safety improvement project. Project will include streets (shared cost), sewer(city cost, <br />watermain(city cost), stormwater improvements (shared cost), and streetscape improvements (city cost <br />with limited county contribution). <br />Williams brought up the stormwater problems in the village <br />V. Council – Commission Forecasting: Identifying Emerging Issues 8:15 PM <br />Discussion of trails and maintenance. It was noted that there has been a lack of dialog or communication <br />between the Planning Comm and the Parks Comm <br />School planning based on growth. DZ and Nick have met with district. <br />Williams said the PC appreciates the staff support <br />VIII.
