Call to Order - Mayor Pearson 6:31pm <br />Roll call: Present: Mayor Mike Pearson, Council Members Wally Nelson, Anne Smith, and Mike Reeves; Old <br />Village Work Group Members Nadine Obermueller, Steve DeLapp, and Jennifer Pelletier; Library Board Member Paul Ryberg. <br />Absent: Council Member Justin Bloyer; Old Village Work Group Members Kathy Haggard, Julie Fliflet, Brett Emmons. <br />Staff Present: City Administrator Zuleger, Community Development Director Klatt <br />II. Focus of the Workshop #1: Downtown Lake Elmo – Dean Zuleger <br />Zuleger provided overview of the scope of the workshop and the history of the village planning. <br />III. Old Village Work Group Downtown Plan – Council Member Smith 6:40 PM <br />a. Illustrative Plan – March 2014 Smith provided the background of the Old Village Work Group. She presented the Village Center <br />Proposal from 3/12/2013. <br />Jennifer Pelletier provided her input regarding the baseball field use. Concerns were traffic and <br />sustainability. She also addressed the desire for senior housing. <br />Pearson asked if the presented proposal was what Pelletier recalls. She did not remember. <br />Pearson asked if group felt disbanded. Pelletier said that she feels like there was lots of work done and <br />yet more to finish. It was explained that current group worked on it for 2 years. <br />Reeves expressed his desire to restart fresh and get job done correctly. <br />Smith explained that baseball people came to OVWG and requested that new fields be put in place <br />before removing old fields. <br />Delapp <br />Nadine Obermueller explained that Lions Park was a place for organic gathering. <br />Smith… pearson… <br />Our Mission is to Provide Quality Public <br />Services in a Fiscally Responsible Manner <br />While Preserving the City’s Open Space <br />Character
