MINUTES APPROVED JANUARY 3, 2012 <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 20, 2011 <br />2 <br />REGULAR AGENDA: <br /> <br />Library Update <br /> <br />Council Member Pearson confirmed that the City had a Lease Agreement signed by <br />owner of the present Library location. It awaited action by the Library Board. <br /> <br />The City Council and Library Board discussed leasing versus purchasing options. <br /> <br />Library Board President DeLapp presented plans for review if the City determined that <br />the “Clock” building was another option. The building is currently for sale and it would <br />also assist in promoting the revitalization of the Old Village. <br /> <br />The City Council indicated its support of the Library Board obtaining a physical and <br />structural assessment report of the building, and exploring purchase options if the report <br />was favorable. <br /> <br />The City Council adjourned the meeting at 4:45 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted by Carole Luczak, Interim City Clerk <br /> <br />
