LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES April 6, 2010 1 <br />MINUTES APPROVED: April 20, 2010 <br />City of Lake Elmo <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />April 6, 2010 <br /> <br />Mayor Johnston called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Johnston and Council Members DeLapp, Emmons (arrived 7:08 <br />p.m.), Smith and Park <br />Also Present: Administrator Messelt, City Engineer Griffin, Attorney Snyder, Planning <br />Director Klatt, Finance Director Bouthilet, Danielle Bailey, City Intern and City Clerk <br />Lumby <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Smith moved to approve the April 6, 2010 City Council <br />Agenda as amended: Acceptance of the March 23, 2010 City Council minutes. Council <br />Member Park seconded the motion. The motion passed 4-0. <br /> <br />GROUND RULES: <br /> <br />APPROVED MINUTES: <br />The March 23, 2010 City Council minutes were approved by consensus. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS/INQUIRIES: None <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Smith moved to approve Items 2 and 4 on the Consent <br />Agenda as presented. Council Member Park seconded the motion. The motion passed 4- <br />0. <br /> <br /> Approve payment of disbursements an payroll in the amount of $58,055.34 <br /> Mayor Johnston proclaimed the month of May 2010 to be Arbor Month in the <br />City and April 30, 2010 as Arbor Day <br /> <br />Approval of resurfacing of Pebble Park Tennis Court/Basketball Ct. Resurface <br /> <br />Council Member Smith reported the play structure in Pebble Park is faded and cracked <br />and asked that the Park Commission review updating this equipment. Council Member <br />DeLapp suggested the Commission consider a survey of park use. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Smith moved to approve the contract for Pebble Park <br />tennis/basketball court resurfacing with Lee Sports Surfacing in the amount of $12,100. <br />Council Member DeLapp seconded the motion. The motion passed 5-0.
