LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 2, 2009 1 <br />MINUTES APPROVED: June 16, 2009 <br />City of Lake Elmo <br />City Council Minutes <br /> <br />June 2, 2009 <br /> <br />Mayor Johnston called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Johnston and Council Members DeLapp, Emmons and Smith. <br />Absent: Council Member Park <br /> <br />Also Present: Interim City Administrator Dawson, Planning Director Klatt, Planner Kelli <br />Matzek, City Engineers Griffin and Stempski, City Attorney Snyder, Finance Director <br />Bouthilet and City Clerk Lumby. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Emmons moved to approve the June 2, 2009 agenda as <br />presented. Council Member Park seconded the motion. The motion passed 5-0. <br /> <br />ORDER OF BUSINESS: <br /> <br />GROUND RULES: <br /> <br />APPROVED MINUTES: <br /> <br />The minutes of May 19, 2009 were postponed to the June 16, 2009 City Council meeting. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS/INQUIRIES: <br /> <br />Bob Van Zandt, 8110 Hidden Bay Trail, said he spoke for the Tri-Lakes Improvement <br />Assoc. and residents’ concern with safety when asking for consideration of a digital <br />speed indicator sign on CR13 (Ideal Ave) because of the accidents and high speed driven <br />on the road. The issue will be an agenda item at the June 16th City Council meeting. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Smith moved to approve the Consent Agenda a presented. <br />Council Member Park seconded the motion. The motion passed 5-0. <br /> <br /> Approve payment of disbursements and payroll in the amount of $129,447.04 <br /> Approval of employment status change from probationary to regular Firefighter <br />status for Chris Klein <br /> Presentation of award for more than 25 years of service to the Fire Department to <br />Firefighter John Eder <br />
