LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES AUGUST 5, 2008 1 <br />MINUTES APPROVED: August 19, 2008 <br />City of Lake Elmo <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />August 5, 2008 <br /> <br />Mayor Johnston called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Johnston and Council Members DeLapp, Johnson, Park and Smith <br /> <br />Also present: City Administrator Hoyt, City Engineer Griffin, City Attorney Filla, <br />Finance Director Bouthilet, and City Clerk Lumby. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Park moved to approve the August 5, 2008 agenda as <br />presented. Council Member Johnson seconded the motion. Mayor Johnston and Council <br />Members Johnson, Park and Smith voted for the motion and Council Member DeLapp <br />voted against the motion. <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member Johnson moved to amend the motion to add meeting <br />adjournment at 7:45 p.m. Council Member Park seconded the motion. Mayor Johnston <br />and Council Members Johnson, Park and Smith voted for the motion and Council <br />Member DeLapp voted against the motion. <br /> <br />ORDER OF BUSINESS: <br /> <br />GROUND RULES: <br /> <br />APPROVE MINUTES: <br />The minutes of August 5, 2008 were approved by consensus. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS/INQUIRIES: <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br /> <br />MOTION: Council Member DeLapp moved to approve the consent agenda as presented. <br />Council Member Johnson seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />• Approve Resolution no. 2008-034 payment of disbursements in the amount of <br />$172,292.99 <br />• Approve appointment of elections judges for primary and general elections, <br />Resolution no. 2008-035 <br />• Approve Resolution no. 2008-036 authorizing the city to enter into an agreement <br />with Mn/DOT to receive reimbursement for the landscaping project and to <br />authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to execute the agreement
