CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 — 27 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING MUNICIPAL CONSENT FOR PHASE H OF THE DOWNTOWN <br />STREET AND UTILITY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, a County Recommended CS AH 17 (Lake Ehno Avenue) Phase 2 Project, dated April 16, <br />2015, showing a proposed typical section for Lake Elmo Avenue as well as regional drainage pond improvements <br />within the limits of -the City of Lake Elmo as a State Aid Project has been prepared and presented to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City, in coordination with Washington County and Valley Branch Watershed District, <br />has engaged in a preliminary design process that started in Januai y of 2014; and <br />WHEREAS, the City and County have engaged in a significant community engagement process as part <br />of the preliminary design effort intended to gather and consider public feedback for the proposed project; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo that said <br />County Recorninended CS AH 17 (Lake Elmo Avenue) Phase 2 Project be approved with the following <br />amendments: <br />• The approved preliminary design for Project Area.A is Option 42, including a 5-foot boulevard and <br />5-foot sidewalk on both sides of Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />• The approved preliminary design for Project Area B is the recommended design, including 12-foot <br />sidewalks on both sides of Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />• The approved prelinlinary design for Project Area C is Option #3, including a 5-foot boulevard and <br />5-foot sidewalk on the east side with parking on the west side of Lake Elmo Avenue. <br />• The approved preliminary design for Project Area D is Option 43, including a 5-foot boulevard and <br />5-foot sidewalk on the south side of 301h Street; <br />and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo <br />that the City of Lake Elmo supports the County continuing with the development of final plans necessary for the <br />construction of the project. <br />This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and without publication. <br />ADOPTED THIS TWENTY-FIRST DAY OF APRIL, 2015 <br />Mike Pearson, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Aam Bell, City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION 2015-27 <br />
