CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />MAE <br />MWAM 'Abi - 11 <br />L's KELM 110 9 -1 a M I M 10 M <br />RESOLIJTION NO. 2015-39 <br />A RESOLUTION RECEIVING A FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE <br />OLD VILLAGE PHASE I STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to city council authorization, adopted on July 1, 2014, a feasibility report <br />has been prepared by FOCUS Engineering, Inc. for the Old Village Phase I Street and Utility <br />Improvements; and <br />'WHEREAS, the feasibility report recommends that benefitting properties be assessed all or a <br />portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to the city's Special Assessment Policy and Minnesota <br />Statutes, Chapter 429; and <br />WIIEREAS, the feasibility report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in <br />connection with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements as reconnnended; and a <br />description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for affected parcels. <br />NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED, <br />I. That the City Council will consider the improvements in accordance with the report and the <br />assessments of the abutting properties for all or a portion of the cost of the iniprovenlents <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429 at an estimated total project cost of $5,568,100; <br />consisting of the street and landscape improvements at $1,405,900, sanitary sewer improvements <br />at $906,300, streetscape improvements at $73,400, regional drainage improvements at <br />$2,709,100, and water system improvements of $473,400. <br />2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 9th day of June, 2015, in <br />the council chambers of the City Hall at or approximately after 7:00 P.M. and the clerk shall give <br />mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. <br />ADOPTED BY THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL ON THE NINETEENTH DAY OF MAY, <br />2015. <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />Mi k e <br />Pearson <br />Mayor <br />a lI <br />City Clerk <br />Resolution No. 2015-39 <br />
