PUBLIC NOTICE <br />The City Council of the city of <br />Lake Elmo has adopted Ordinance <br />No. 08-152. The ordinance repeals <br />existing open space development <br />regulations within chapter 150, and <br />adopts new open space planned <br />unit development regulations In <br />chapter 154, The new regulations <br />are largely based on the City's <br />long-standing OP development <br />codes, but have been updated to <br />implement lessons learned from <br />existing OP development over the <br />past twenty years, and to ensure <br />these developments are meeting <br />the City's expectations. The main <br />changes being implemented include <br />a revised methodology for the <br />design of open space developments, <br />and implementation of a more <br />standardized development review <br />process. Additionally, Open Space <br />planned unit developments will <br />now require the establishment of <br />an overlay district over such areas <br />to organize the unique regulations <br />governing these neighborhoods. To <br />properly fit these new regulations <br />into the City's zoning code, this <br />ordinance also implements a <br />number of organizational/numbering <br />changes throughout Chapter 154. <br />The full text of Ordinance 08-152 is <br />available for public inspection at the <br />Lake Elmo City Hall during regular <br />business hours. <br />(Review: Nov. 9, 2016) <br />
