The City Council of the City of Lake Elmo hereby amends Title XV: Land <br />Usage; Chapter 154: Zoning Code, to add Article XVI: OPEN SPACE PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENTS <br />ArticleXVL OPEN SPA CEPLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENTS <br />§ 154.650 PURPOSE. <br />The purpose of open space planned unit developments is to provide greater development flexibility within <br />rural portions of the community while maintaining the rural character by preserving agricultural land, <br />woodlands, wildlife or natural corridors, pollinator & wildlife habitat, and other significant natural features <br />consistent with the goals and objectives of the city's Comprehensive Plan. The City reserves the right to <br />deny establishment of an open space PUD overlay district and direct a developer to re -apply under standard <br />zoning provisions if it is determined that proposed benefits of the open space PUD do not justify the <br />requested flexibilities. <br />Page 4 of 26 <br />
