For <br />purposes of this paragraph, the term "lot," when used in reference to a condominium <br />means all property within a common interest community. <br />c. A subdivision identification sign not exceeding thirty·two (32) square feet in sign area <br />as approved by the City. <br />2. Institutional Uses in Residential Districts. Nonresidential uses located in residential <br />districts, such as churches and schools, located in residential districts may erect signs as <br />follows: <br />3. <br />a. Wall and Ground Signs <br />b. <br />i. Area and Number: One (1) wall sign and one (1) ground sign per street frontage <br />may be displayed, identifying the entity, with a maximum of two (2) wall signs and <br />two (2) ground signs per lot. Additional wall or ground signs for wayfinding <br />purposes may be permitted when the size of the lot, number of vehicular or <br />pedestrian entrances, and layout of the buildings require additional signs in order <br />to promote traffic and pedestrian safety. Signs under this paragraph, whether <br />displayed on a wall or on the ground, shall not exceed twelve (12) square feet in <br />area, except such signs may be increased in area by one (1) square foot for each <br />additional foot that the sign is set back more than twelve (12) feet from a lot line. <br />No sign under this section shall exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in area. <br />ii. Height. No identification sign shall project higher than one story, or twelve (12) <br />feet above curb level, whichever is lower. <br />Temporary Signs <br />Commercial, Mixed-Use and Industrial Districts <br />a. No permanent sign shall be displayed except a sign <br />authorized by the City and included in the Comprehensive Sign Plan pertaining to the site. <br />Temporary signs are permitted for commercial, institutional or industrial uses unless <br />prohibited by the Comprehensive Sign Plan. <br />5. Conservancies and Parks. No sign shall be permitted except those installed by direction of <br />the Public Works Director. <br />6. Agricultural Sales Businesses. Signage related to agricultural sales business may be erected <br />as follows: <br />13
