d. Undue delay, expense of other adverse results will not occur by <br />approval of the required variance. <br />e. If a variance is because of technical or cost reasons, the <br />variance will result in equal or better technical standards of cost <br />efficiency. <br />12.04 Franchise Renewal. <br />A. Company may apply for renewal or renegotiation of the Franchise by making <br />application to do so not later than eighteen (18) months prior to the expiration <br />of the Franchise on forms provided by Grantor, unless Grantor determines not <br />to reissue the Franchise to Company or desires to consider additional <br />applicants for a Franchise. <br />B. Company may be approved, and the Franchise or modification to it may be <br />renewed or extended by Grantor in accordance with the then existing rules <br />of the FCC, the Board, the Cities and all other applicable laws, ordinf7rces, <br />rules or regulations. <br />C. Nothing in the Franchise shall be construed to require renewal or extension <br />of this Franchise. <br />D. Renewal of the Franchise may not be for more than 15 years, unless otherwise <br />permitted by federal or state law. <br />12.05 Administration of Franchise. <br />A. Grantor, and/or its designee, shall be responsible for the continued <br />administration of the Franchise. <br />27 <br />
