535.29 Permitted Signs in Residential Districts. <br />Subd. 1 Tyue of Sign Allowed. Nameplate, real estate sales, political, ground, <br />temporary, wall, identification, neighborhood/sector signs, and directional signs for <br />churches, schools, or publicly owned land or buildings. <br />Subd. 2 Two Surfaced Signs. No sign shall be constructed so as to have more <br />than two (2) surfaces. <br />Subd. 3 Number of Total Type of Sign Allowed Per Lot Frontage. One (1) of <br />the permitted types of signs, except temporary signs where two (2) will be permitted <br />and political signs where one (1) for each candidate will be permitted. No more <br />than thirty-two (32) square feet of total display area will be permitted at any one <br />time in developed areas. <br />Subd. 4 Size. Not more than a total of six (6) square feet with a four (4) foot <br />maximum for any dimension except as otherwise restricted in this section. Total <br />square feet of all signs shall not exceed thirty-two (32) square feet per lot except in <br />multi -family districts. <br />Subd. 5 Hei t. The top of the display shall not exceed ten (10) feet above grade. <br />t. ( <br />Subd. 6 Setback. Any sign over one and one-half (1 1/2) square feet shall be set F <br />back at least ten (10) feet from any lot line. <br />535.30 Permitted Signs in Commercial and Industrial Districts. <br />Subd. 1 Type of Sign Allowed. Business, nameplate, identification, illuminated, <br />ground pedestal, motion, political, real estate sales, shopping center, temporary, <br />wall, neighborhood/sector signs, and directional signs for churches, schools, or <br />publicly owned land or buildings. <br />Subd. 2 Number of Each Type of Sign Allowed Per Lot Frontage. Two (2) <br />business signs on any lot having a frontage of one hundred fifty (150) feet or less <br />and one (1) additional business sign for each additional one hundred fifty (150) feet <br />of frontage. Also, one (1) of the permitted types of temporary signs will be <br />permitted. <br />Subd. 3 Size. <br />A. Except as provided in this section, the total square footage of sign area for <br />each lot shall not exceed two (2) square feet of sign area for each lineal foot of <br />lot frontage, except where a location is a corner lot, the amount may be <br />535-9 <br />
