3jiltage of Paht '�fmv <br />uiastzington (9nnntg <br />�Umke 7ZMur, 4Rinnezotu <br />April 5, 1961 <br />Mr. Jahn Day Town, Clerk <br />Take Elmo, <br />Minnesota <br />Dear Mr. Day; <br />The fire department has received a request from Woodbury <br />Township asking if the village would consider taking on <br />all or any part of the township on some kind of a fire <br />protection oontraot. <br />The fire chief and the council have chocked with some of <br />the local businessman, and received general approval if the <br />village and the township will go along with it. <br />The village ao=unoil at its meeting on April 4th have gone <br />along with this reqq,uest and: if the town board will do the <br />same will arrange for a contract to be drawn up.. <br />Here are the basic rules that would go into the contract, <br />The area we would agree to cover would be from Highway� <br />` 112 south to the alley Creek ltoadl from the .Airport toad <br />west to the Radio Road.. <br />The standby fee would be $ 200.00 payable on acceptance <br />of the contract. This fee would be payable each year on, <br />the same date# <br />The fire department would answer any call as long as it <br />had sufficient equipment at the station to handle any <br />village or township calls, In the event the truck is out <br />to the area specified and they are needed in the village <br />or township they would Leave the fire to take pare of <br />our requests first, if one truck goes out with 5 men, the <br />fee is 100.00 for the first hour and $75.00 :for each <br />additional: hour. if a second unit is required it would <br />be at the rate of $75..00 ;per hour, <br />Woodbury would be required to have a burning ordnance the <br />same as East Oakdale and Lake :Talmo and would have to <br />make sure that it was enforced. <br />Any money received from such a contract would go into the <br />sinking fund for use in the purchase of new equipment. <br />John$ would you take this up with the town board at the <br />next townboard meeting and then let us know your deois6on. <br />Thanks much for your .fine cooperation. <br />Sincerely yours <br />Donald Meheikomer <br />Take Elmo 'Grillage Clerk <br />
