Minutes of the Lake Elmo Village Council 'Tuesday April 2, 1968 <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Brockman at 6:3OPM. <br />Present:Brookman,Ebne,Abercrombie,Goerse and Mehsikomer. <br />Council met with Members of the Recreation Committee and observed <br />first hand the boundaries of the proposed swap with Tony leitee. <br />The Council,made a few revisions and asked the members of the commit - <br />tie to make the offer in the name of the Village. Members to report <br />back to the council as soon as resolved.Members of the committee are <br />Ron Witzel, Bruce Beutel and Herb Rygg. <br />Norman Wendt presented signed permissions from his neighbors covering <br />the building permit for a 3 car garage and storage building near hid <br />home at 1180 Rose Ave. Clerk instructed to make out the permit with <br />the attachment that would allow for the removal of the building if the <br />property exchanged hands in any way. <br />Minutes of the March 5, 1968 and March 23, 1968 meetings read and appr.. <br />Vali-Hi Saddle Club presented a pitch for,the use of the Neilsen pro- <br />perty for the purpose of periodic Sunday Horse. Shows.Saddle Club was <br />informed that a special meeting would be called for Manday April 8, <br />1968 at which the matter would be taken up, <br />Clerk instructed to write a letter to residents of Juniper Ave explain- <br />ing the request and suggesting that they attend the special meeting. <br />Trustee Abercrombie had the census maps that he would get completed <br />along with the questionairre and get them returned. <br />Mayor advised that the court hearing for Ray Anderson was set for <br />Wednesday April 3,. 1968 at 9:30 AM aand he would be present. <br />Trustee Goerss would arrange for the water sample bottles and also <br />Mayor Brockman would see that they were submitted within the time limit. <br />Council advised the fire chief •that council approved covering up to <br />three members of the fire department to attend and be reimbursed for <br />attending the fire school. <br />Decision made to dispose of the present warming house at skating rink. <br />The following bills were submitted for approval: <br />lake Elmo Oil Co. <br />Internal Revenue Service <br />Commissioner of Taxation <br />Gopher stamp and Die <br />Norman Wendt <br />North St. Paul Welding <br />Northwestern Bell <br />Banister.
