Uzltage of Nuke filw t <br />`Xatt e 7EIMO, Alinnesnta <br />Minutes of the Village Council June 18, 1968. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:25PM by Mayor Brookman. <br />Present:Brookman,Ebne,Goerss and Mehsikomer. Abercrombie absent. <br />Clerk read notice of meeting of Board of Review set for July 15 9/12AM. <br />Constable Al Haseley requested that the water shutoff at Anderson's <br />which was dug, up to locate be repaired on the surface with sod. <br />Mayor announced that their was a special meeting that councilmen should <br />attend if they could on Wed* June 19, at 8PM. This involved all the <br />communities in the area regarding annexation and consolidatio{a. <br />Charles McCoy was on hand to discuss with the council the water pro- <br />blem that presented itself last winter when his service fuoze. It was <br />decided that the service would be dug up to determine how it was pushed <br />across the road. When the hole is open the pipe will be insulated. The <br />expense of this, will be borne by the water department but: all new ser- <br />vices will be put in by the village and billed to the property owner. <br />Because of the Holiday the firat week of July and the occasion set for <br />July 21 1968 the meeting has been rescheduled for July 9. 1968. <br />Mayor announced that East Oakdale and the Village of bake Elmo had agreed <br />to a joint purchase of the Streiff building and property. The purchase <br />prose is $18$000, j now and the balance in three annual payments of*. The <br />interest rage is 5/ on the unpaid balance. <br />Clerk requested to write Bob Wier and ask him to attend the next meeting. <br />The following bills were submitted for approval. <br />Take Elmo Insurance agdmcy and Steel Supply and Culvert Co. Claims 75/76. <br />Motion by Goerss 2nd by Ebne that bills be paid. Carried 4/0. <br />Motion by Trustee Goerss 2nd by Trustee Ebne that Mr. Norman Schwartz <br />be issued the necessary licenses to take over the Twin Point Tavern as <br />of July 1} 1968..This includes both ON and OFF Sale Liquor licenses. <br />Vote of the council showed that all Councilmen present voted in favor <br />and the motion carried 4/0. <br />Meeting adjourned at. 0:50PM. <br />Respectfully submitted <br />Donald Mehsikomer <br />Village Clerk <br />Lake Elmo,.
