T0404ingtun Tountg <br />`Pane 'Elmo, fAinnesala <br />MINUTES OF THE; VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING JULY 9s 1968. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:22PM by Mayor Brockman. <br />Present:Brockman,Abercrombie,Ebne,Goerss and Mehsikomer. <br />Minutes of the June 4 and June 18 meetings read and approved. <br />The wage scale for removing the fence from the hockey rink is $1.35/hr. <br />R B Abercrombie presented the following resolution: That the village <br />exchange property with Mr., Leitte per the attached surveyor maps. In <br />addition to the property the Village does agree to 1.Remove the quonset <br />building and the hockey fence on that part of the land deeded to Leitte <br />Inc. 2.To upgrade with clean dirt fill Lots 15 and 16, Block 1 as well <br />as the triangled area from the Southeast corner of Lot 209Block 4 to the <br />Northeast corner of Lot 16 Block 1 to the Northwest corner of Lot 15 <br />Block 1 to the point of the beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 20 <br />Block 4 to conform with the exis*ing grade levels at the Southeast corner <br />of Lot 20 Block 4; to the property to the East of Lot 16 Block 1, to the <br />Northwest 21zakxt corner of Lot 15 Block 1 and back to the point of <br />beginning. 3.In the event the above is not completed by January 1. 1969 <br />the Village of Lake Elmo authorizes Leitte Inc. to have the work accomp- <br />lished and the Village of Lake Elmo will pay the costs* Rx Mayor and <br />2R3&zxd Clerk authorized to sign the transaction for the village. Second <br />by trustee Ebne. Carried 5-0. <br />Clerk instructed to write a letter to Raymond Leon Anderson requesting <br />that he attend the meeting on August 6, 1968. <br />Rn.rl-a—ia c +rn hc_j_ i n fir work nn the streetR bu-t.--on-l-v--oir(-r`e-ced-v-ed so a <br />Permission given to the VFW to sell 3.2 at the Softball Torna ment. <br />Field rental for night use was set at 9$5.00 and 9$10.00 per day for Tourna- <br />ment use. <br />Bob Wier was instructed to dig up the service to Charles McCoy and see <br />that it was laid properly and insulated.He was also requested to fix the <br />shutoff service in fron t of the Elmo Inn that had been damaged by plow. <br />Motion by Abercrombie second by Goarse that we proceed with the repair <br />of 6th st and Kalmia ave. and. also 9th St. if petition to. repair streets <br />and assess 9$50.00 per lot is received.
