Uittage of Puke Imo <br />'il IT01iington (211nntg <br />Xahe Tama, Affinesntu 55042 <br />Minutes of the Village Council Meeting November 5, 1968. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:35PM by Mayor Brookman. <br />Present: Brockman, Abercrombie,Ebne,Goerss and Mehsikomer. <br />( ` Minutes of the October 48, 1968 meeting read and approved. <br />Clerk reported that he had received a complaint from the plumbing <br />inspector that the service .from the water main to the new house <br />being built for David Zinchlag was not according to required specs. <br />Clerk instructed to write to builder, Joe Lenz and to copy the own <br />er to the extent that unless the service was put in properly that <br />the service would not be turned on. <br />Motion by Trustee Abercrombie second by 'Trustee Goerss thata permits <br />be issued to Gib Swanson for the special use on the Ponath Property <br />subject to the specifications submitted by Banister Engineering as <br />they referred to sewage disposal, streets, etc. Carried 5/0. <br />Rod Lawson was on. #and and. was requested to draw up the necessary <br />papers for Bib Swanson to sign and agree to. <br />A special meeting has been scheduled for Monday November 25, 1968 <br />to discuss the 'bid on the proposed new fire truck and other matters <br />that are of general interest to the Township of Bast Oakdale and <br />the Village of Lake Elmo. Bothgoverning bodies along with the Plan— <br />ning Commissions are to asked to attend. Meeting to start at 7:OOPM. <br />Past Oakdale asked that the Village of Lake Elmo supply two members <br />to a four man commission to study the needs of police and police <br />equipment in the proposed consolidation area. The present constables <br />would be ex officio members of this committee. Retiring Trustee Ebne <br />was requested to accept one of the positions on this committee which <br />he agreed to do. Mayor Brockman was given the following names from <br />which to select a second.member. Norman Wendt, Harvey Allen,Earl <br />Goerss and Lloyd Shervheim. <br />Discussion was on the possibility of getting a new gas inspector. <br />Reports were received from other contractors that it was not fair <br />to be bidding against a man that had a similar business in town. <br />Mayor Brockman to discuss this with NSP. <br />The results of the Village election were submitted to the council <br />by the election judges and the results confirmed as follows: <br />Trustee: David Boorman 231) Janice Ahlgren 112, James Beers 1, <br />Lloyd Ebne 1 and no vote 7. 352 votes were cast. <br />Clerk: Don Mehsikome.r 325, Vince Anderson 1 and no vote 26. <br />t Constable:A1 Hauel.ey 499 Willard Eder 27,Russell Anderson 11,Myron <br />Schneider 4, Roger Meyer 4, John Eder 3, James Eder 2,Ben P.reidrich <br />2,Ron Witzel 2,Roy Dornfeld 2,Dale Brockman 2 and the follooing one <br />each James Bjorkman,Bill Hagberg,Cliff Goerss,Jerome Eder,Vince And- <br />erson,Pete Banister,Eldon Smith,Don Durand,Janice Ahlgren,Earl Goerss <br />Bob Dennis, Mory Knoff,Norm Wendt,Bob Novak,Mark Cr.immins,lien Wier, <br />Ken Streiff,Elmer Dittman„ David Olsen,Al Henning, Wayne Moris amd <br />Lehart Preidrich. No votes 220. <br />
