latikkage of 'Nuke `�tnta <br />( 'wklolziugtort avttntg <br />pl iE 'glUTU. ffli1Lne013tH 55042 <br />MEETING OF '.l11B LAKE ELMO VILLAVrE COUNCIL TUESDAY JANUARY 79 1969. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:15PM by Mayor Brockman. <br />Present:Brookman, Abererombie,Boorman,.Ebne and Mehsikomer. <br />'Minutes of the December 4, 1968 meeting read and approved <br />Mayor brookamn administered. the Oath of Office to Clerk Mehsikomer. <br />Clerk Mehsikomer administered the Oath of Office to Trustees Borman and <br />Ebne. <br />Clerk was instructed to write the Minnesota League of Municipalities. to <br />get copies of snowmobile legislation so that the village will know what <br />points to cover in making a new village ordinance. <br />Wilbur Richert has indicated a desire t.o be dropped from the role of <br />village snowplowing service. It was discussed and other possibilities <br />would be contacted but from previous experience it did not look -too en- <br />couraging. Mr. Richert did say that he would stay on until we got some- <br />one else so that we would. riot be without snowplowing service this winter <br />however the plowing would. be done an an as available basis, <br />Reminder that the matter of pulling the village waterpump should be dis- <br />cussed at the March meeting.. <br />Trustee Abercrombie reported that he and Clerk Mehsikomer had been in <br />contact with Lee Richert and that he would be submitting a, proposal for <br />the hhndling of all services from the village water main to the property <br />( i.ne. Any other contracting that he would do would be on a personal <br />oasis with the new water customer, <br />Clerk instructed to have -the papers run an article on -the need for re- <br />moving the snow from around the fire hydrants near there homes. It should <br />be pointed out that the first few minutes of fighting any fire are the <br />most critical and if the hose cannot be hooked to the hydrant in short <br />order serious damage could result. <br />The fol.owing:e.ommittees and appointments were made for the year 1969. <br />Recreation -Public Safety Trustee BOORMAN, ABERCROMBIE AND EB]TE. <br />Streets EBNEgBOORMAN AND ABERCROMBIE. <br />Water AE3ERCROMBIE,EBNC; AND BOORMAN. <br />Legal THORBEN AND LAWSON. <br />Paper STILLWAT'ER DAILY GAZETTE. <br />Engineer BANISTER ENGINEERING. <br />Weed Inspector Brookamn and assistant ROY' LOHMANN. <br />Plumbing Inspector HENRY PFA.LZ. <br />Gas Inspector TO BE RESOLVED. <br />Building Inspector George Siegfried. <br />iank STATE BANK OF LAICE ELMO. <br />Insurance LAKE ELMO INSURANCE AGENCY. <br />Health DR. VAN MEIERIMEHSIKOMER AND BROOKMAN. <br />Water Bond PETERSON AND POPOVICH. <br />Acting Mayor ROBERT BRUCE ABERCROMBIE. <br />Labor Rate $2.00 / hour. <br />Motion by Trustee Abercrombie 2nd by Trustee Bbne that the forgoing <br />( ppointments and decisions be approved. Carried 4/0. <br />
