R-71-14 <br />RESOLUTION <br />VILLAGE OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE VILLAGE COUNCIL'S <br />CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR A METROPOLITAN PARK IN <br />THE VILLAGE OF LAKE ELMO <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Lake <br />Elmo on December. 1, 1970 passed a resolution favoring the ac- <br />quisition of land in the Village of Lake Elmo for a Metropoli- <br />tan Park and approving, generally, a method of operation for <br />the acquisition of the land designated as Phase I; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Washington <br />County has passed a resolution approving said method of oper- <br />ation for acquiring the Phase I land and has, pursuant there- <br />to, obtained appraisals of said land; and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council is of the opinion that <br />the land for said Park should be acquired at the earliest pos- <br />sible time so that it may be secured before it becomes the sub- <br />je_et�_o_r___urban de-valapment a.n_d_is_,—therehy-, 1 forever for <br />park purposes: <br />BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Village Council <br />of the Village of Lake Elmo does, hereby express to the Board <br />of Commissioners of Washington County the said Council's con- <br />tinued approval of the method heretofore established for ac- <br />quisition of land in the Village of Lake Elmo for a Metropo- <br />litan Park and does hereby urge that the said County Commis- <br />sioners continue with all steps necessary to acquire said land <br />at the earliest possible date. <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 3rd day of Au- <br />gust, 1971. <br />15 <br />CALVIN J.
