MINUTES OF THE FAKE EZIV[0 COTTNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 5, 1972 pg.1 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:302M by Mayor Brockman. <br />Present:B.rookman,Abercrom.bie,Watson,Shervheim & Mehsikomer. <br />Absent:Fried.rich & Park. <br />Also present: Counsel. Raleigh. <br />Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Abercrombie to approve the minutes of the <br />Nov.21,1972 meeting as submitted. Carried 4-0. <br />Copy of minutes to be sent to Tri-Fakes Association. <br />Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Abercrombie that Dick Neville be instructed <br />to update the advertising sign inventory in the village by 1/15/73. betters <br />f will then be sent out to all violaters of the ordinance with instructions <br />\ that they remove or make proper application for the sign and make sure that <br />it conforms to regulations of the ordinance. Carried 4--0. <br />It was also recommended that adv. sign installers be licensed. <br />Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Watson that copy of 11/21.72 letter from <br />counsel regarding mobile home foundations be sent to the engineer requesting <br />that he estimate cost off such a foundation and also that he make a recom- <br />mendation to the council on what should be required. Carried 4-0. <br />Motion by C.Abercrombie 2nd by C.Shervheim authorizing payment of bills. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Motion by C.Watson 2nd by C.Shervheim that council confirm the intent of <br />the original. zoning ordinance that the lot size in areas zoned agricultural <br />is .five (5) acres. Carried 4-0. <br />Motion by C.Abercrombie 2nd by C. Watson that the clerk salary for 1972 <br />is $2,000 and for 1973 is $2,400. Also that the assessor -treasurer 1972 <br />salary was $1,500 and for 1973 is set at $1,.800. Carried 4-0. <br />The Fake Elmo E.lmmentary School officials were advised of the proposal of <br />the village for a new childrens walkway from the school to hake Elmo Ave. <br />They agree this is the best approach so far. Counsel instructed to contact <br />Mr. Conrad Adams regarding possible dedication of 15' for this purpose. <br />Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C.Abercrombie to authorize mayor to reactivate <br />the police study commission and have them review what has been accomplished <br />with our present arrangements and determine if this should be expanded or <br />what direction should we go from here. Carried 4-0. <br />Meeting scheduled for Dea.19,1972 to start at 5:OOPM. <br />Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by C. Watson that counsel be directed to prepare <br />an ordinance clarifying language of the subdivision ordinance to reflect <br />requirement that sub -divider must dedicate 7% of the land sub -divided for <br />publio purposes or in lieu thereof pay $50/lot or 10% of the village assessors <br />undeveloped land value. Carried 4-0. <br />C.Wateon offered Resolution R 72-27 granting Berschens variance from the <br />sub -division requirement and asked for its approval. 2nd by C.Shervheim. <br />All present voted in favor of resolution. Carried 4-0. <br />Clerk advised that he had ehgaged Sandra Phernetton as a red?ording secretary <br />for the 13C. She will be paid $15.00 per session and she will be required <br />to take the minutes, type them in finsihed form and turn them over to the <br />clerk's office within 48 hrs after the meeting. Plus. Phernotton will start <br />December 12, 1972. <br />Motion by C.Watson 2nd by C. Abercrombie to adjourn at 10:10PM.
