R-72-3 <br />RESOLUTION <br />VILLAGE OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENT TO CONTINUE THE OFFICE <br />OF LOCAL ASSESSOR <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 31 of the Extra Session Laws of <br />1971 requires that a Resolution be certified to the Commis- <br />sioner of Taxation indicating the intent of the Village <br />Council to continue the office of Local Assessor and to <br />employ and pay for the training of an accredited assessor; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Taxation has re- <br />quired said Resolution be certified to him before April 1, <br />19 72; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Village Council <br />to continue the office of Local Assessor, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village <br />Council of the Village of Lake Elmo hereby signifies its <br />intent to continue the office of Assessor in the Village of <br />Lake Elmo and to employ its own assessor for that purpose. <br />The Village Council, accordingly, signifies its intent and <br />agrees with the Commissioner of Taxation, hereby, to assume <br />the cost of training its Assessor in courses approved by the <br />State Assessor's Board for the purpose of obtaining the <br />Assessor's certificate to the extent of the course fees and <br />recognized travel expenses not paid by the State, to the <br />extent -necessary -to have said As -Lessor certified as a <br />qualified Assessor by December 1, 1974. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolu- <br />tion be certified by the Village Clerk and mailed to the <br />Commissioner of Taxation forthwith. <br />Adopted by the Village Council this 15th day of <br />February, 1972. <br />Calvin J.A rookman, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Donald Mehsikomer, Clerk <br />
