R-72 -11r i-Z RESOLUTION VILLAGE OF LAKE ELMO WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Highway Department and Washington County have jointly planned an expansion of the en- trance and exit ramp to Highway 694 at the intersection of said Highway 694 and Tenth Street North (formerly Minnehaha Avenue); and WHEREAS, the Southeast quadrant of said intersection is within the boundaries of the Village of Lake Elmo; and WHEREAS, the owners of the land in said Southeast quadrant have asked the Village Council of the Village of Lake Elmo to approve the plans of the State Highway Department and Washington County for said extension and to participate in the construction thereof by providing the right of way requirements for expansion of the entrance -exit ramp to be constructed in said Southeast quadrant; and WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Lake Elmo has determined that it would be in the best interests of the Village if the proposed expansion were to be constructed within the limitations and under the conditions hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the limitations and conditions to the Village Council' s appy-0val of said expans-ion, as he-rei na€ter-set- forth are established for the purpose of incorporating into the plans for said expansion those safety features and traffic control requirements recommended by the Village Engineer and for the further purpose of insuring that any substantial expense incurred by the Village in connection with said expansion will be borne by the persons oA properties benefitting therefrom. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Council of the Village of Lake Elmo hereby approves the plans of the Minne- sota State Highway Department and Washington County for expansion of the entrance -exit ramp at the intersection of Interstate High- way 694 and Tenth Street North (formerly Minnehaha Avenue) upon the following conditions and subject to the following limitations: (1) That Washington County agreed by resolution of the Washington County Commissioners to construct Tenth Avenue North (formerly Minnehaha Avenue) roadway for a full urban section. (2) That the owners of the land in the Southeast quadrant of said intersection grant to the Village of Lake Elmo for nominal consideration the land required by the Village as right of way for the expansion of the entrance -exit ramp and related roadways providing access for right turns into and out of their property.
