Humane Animal Control Service <br />Policy: <br />It is the policy of l IumaneAnimal Control Services to treat All animals in a humane <br />manner regardless of species, breed, or disposition. <br />We feel it is our responsibility to: <br />I) Relocate animaIg that are lost, injured, stray, or displaced to an appropriate <br />situation, holding facility or environment that is more suitable to their immediate <br />needs. <br />2) Exhaust All means, at my disposal, to return stray domestic s to their <br />rightful owners. <br />3) To educate the public on responsible pet ownership and what is required, per city <br />ordinance, for them to safely and legally own pets in their community. <br />4) To offer assistance to the publip to solve problems caused by animals not under <br />restraint or displaced from their normal environment. `. <br />5) To use. my knowledge and training to assist in enforcing the state statutes �.axd <br />local ordinances pertaining to animals, their keeping and humane treatment. <br />E) To see that the public is aware that there are penalties should there laws not be <br />adhered to. <br />in some or all cities this may include but is not restricted to: <br />1) Transporting stray dogs and cats to an impound facility. <br />2) Relocating displaced wildlife <br />3) Relocating stray or displaced exotics to a proper rescue organization or locating <br />their;proper owner. <br />4) Issuing citations for violations of local animal ordinances. <br />5) Investigating complaints of animal abuse or neglect, nuisance complaints, or <br />other situations in which animals are causing a disturbance to the public. <br />6) Keeping accurate records of my activities, telephone log, lost and found animal <br />report log and all complaints reported log to insure accuracy of reporting should <br />a situation become serious enough to require judicial intervention. <br />7) To do, with in legal boundaries, what is asked by the city officials to monitor <br />and control any situation involving animals within the city limits. <br />Qualification <br />1) 30 years of experience in animal related fields. <br />2) Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technclogyfanimal health <br />3) Certification in Wmesota as a Certified Veterinary Technician for 24 years <br />4) Certified in Wisconsin as a Certified humane Investigator <br />5) Certified nationally through the National Animal Control Association having <br />completed all 3 training courses as a Certified Animal Control Crfficer. <br />
