Lake Elmo <br />Agenda Section: MAINTNANCE/PARK/FIRE/BUIDING: <br />No .7 A 1 <br />City Council <br />December 19, <br />2006 <br />Agenda Item: Inflatable Rescue Boat <br />Background Information for December 19, 2006: <br />The fire department is requesting approval to proceed with finalizing specifications, pricing and funding package for <br />an Inflatable Rescue Boat. The equipment committee of the fire department has researched this item over the last <br />year. They have visited and spoken to other fire depts. with similar boats and gotten pricing from vendors. The <br />approx. cost of this package (boat, motor, lights, rescue equipment and trailer) is $11,000.00. <br />We have already received a donation in the amount of $3,000.00 toward this purchase. Chief Malmquist is currently <br />seeking additional outside funding/donations for this project. Before proceeding with the process, it would be <br />beneficial to know that this project has the support of the council. <br />Action Items: <br />Person responsible: <br />Chief Malmquist <br />Direct Chief Malmquist to proceed with project and solicitation of <br />outside funding/donations. <br />Attachments: <br />
