Lake Elmo <br />Agenda Section: CONSENT <br />No <br />City Council <br />01-17-2006 <br />Agenda Item: Pay Scale Adjustment <br />Background Information for January 17, 2006: <br />Attached, please find the proposed 2006 Employee Pay Plan. The Pay Plan was drafted during the 2006 Budget <br />preparation (in August 2005) and represents a two and a half percent increase adjustment in all positions and steps. <br />The increase is based on Consumer Index Price (CPI) for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers. <br />The City continues to review the benefits portion of the compensation package. The City has changed insurance <br />carriers in an effort to eliminate age based rates as well as adjusting employee contributions to benefits to minimize <br />rising costs. <br />Action Items: 1) Adopt the 2006 Proposed Employee Pay <br />Person responsible: <br />Plan. <br />Tom Bouthilet <br />Attachments: <br />1. 2006 Proposed Pay Plan <br />
