1't draft <br />The City Planner reported that the Planning Commission held a Public Hearing on June <br />12, 2006, regarding amendment of the RR district setback standards to correspond to the <br />RE district setback standards. The Commission unanimously adopted a Motion to table <br />the amendment pending its further consideration of the amendment concurrent with the <br />on -going overall zoning ordinance re -write project underway by the Commission. <br />M/S/P Smith/Johnston — to direct staff to place on the July 18, 2006, City Council <br />meeting. (Motion passed 4-1: Johnson — there is no urgency and should go along with <br />the Planning Commission's recommendation.) <br />10. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />A. Northern Watermain Easement Addition Acquisition Update: verbal moved <br />to Agenda Item 8E) <br />11. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Austad, Pierre, Hurt — Septic Systems: verbal (moved to Agenda Item 817) <br />B. HOA Training Seminar — Report: verbal <br />Administrator Rafferty reported that Kurt Sparks, NAWE President, presented a 2-hour <br />training for HOA's with Constructive Wetland Treatment Systems. I t was well attended <br />by the 13 HOA's in Lake Elmo. The City now has a tape of the presentation and it will <br />be available for residents to check out. <br />Mayor Johnston thanked Administrator Rafferty for organizing the quarterly HOA <br />meetings, dealing with various forms of waste treatment systems. The quarterly meetings <br />have provided the HOA members to become educated, share knowledge and develop <br />appropriate solutions when necessary. <br />C. City of Minneapolis Thank You — verbal: <br />Administrator Rafferty suggested the City send a thank you letter to the City of <br />Minneapolis for the used equipment made available to Lake Elmo. The City is cramped <br />for space, and the new Assistant Planner now has an office, along with some necessary <br />equipment. <br />M/S/P Johnson/Conlin — to direct Staff to send a letter of appreciation to the City of <br />Minneapolis for the equipment provided. (Motion passed 5-0) <br />D. PFC Meetings: <br />A PFC Task Force has been meeting monthly, and suggested another public meeting the <br />second week in September to update the residents on PFC's.
